Halton Housing has acquired a plot of land to allow them to create a £9.8 million housing development.
The development will comprise of 67 brand new-homes, which will be a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes and bungalows.
On this plot of land Halton Housing plans to create 30 homes for affordable rent, and their commercial subsidiary, Open Door, will create 13 homes for out- right sale, 14 on a shared ownership basis and 10 rent to buy homes.
The works are due to start on site for this development imminently and are scheduled to be completed in Summer 2020.
Kate Sweeny, Halton Housing’s project manager for this new build housing scheme, said: “We are delighted this development has been given the green light. It will provide a mix of homes and tenures in a great location with excellent transport links, with the nearest train station being less than half a mile away.
“We’re investing heavily in building new homes for the people of Halton to help meet the current high demand.
“This project will also allow us to regenerate a disused piece of land back into the community.”
Rob Poole, Managing Director of Open Door, Halton Housing’s commercial subsidiary, said: “This will be Open Door’s third on site development in Halton creating more affordable home ownership options, and high-quality homes for Halton residents.
“The first homes for sale on this development are scheduled to be completed early next year.
