Arrests linked to immigration
POLICE made two arrests connected to suspected immigration offences after raiding an address in Runcorn.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesman said officers carried out a planned warrant at a business premises on Church Street at 11.40am on Friday, July 6.
Police arrested a 27-year-old woman from Runcorn on suspicion of immigration offences, namely to arrange or facilitate illegal entry into the UK.
She has since been released under investigation.
A 27-year-old man was also arrested at the scene on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.
He has since been passed to immigration officials.
