Man, 59, charged over home ‘fracas’

A 59-year-old man has been charged with obstructing a police officer after officers swooped on a house in Runcorn.

A Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman said patrols were called to Thorn Road at 8.33pm on Sunday evening following reports of a ‘disturbance’.

The 59-year-old was arrested at the scene and later charged.

He is due to appear at North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 24.
