ORGANISED WALKS FOR NEW MUMS

HALTON Borough Council is working with Weaver Vale Practice to give young mums the oppportunity to get out of the house and exercise.

The walks are ‘free and friendly’, and will take place weekly for an hour.

The walks start at Hallwood Health Centre, Hospital Way, Runcorn, every Monday at 11am.

A council spokesman said: “MP Mike Amesbury and local councillors will be putting their best feet forward to launch the regular event as well as GP Carole Mycroft at the official launch on August 6.

“The walk will be lead by one of our volunteers every Monday 11am and the practice is encouraging young mums with babies to attend as they are aware some young mums in the area are not getting out.”
