Players’ words of wisdom
WIDNES Vikings first team stars Lloyd White and Wellington Albert visited Wade Deacon High School on recently, passing on some advice for their Year 7 Boys team.
The Widnes school will be taking on St John Fisher of Wigan in the Champion Schools Final, taking place ● at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, August 25.
It will act as a curtainraiser for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final, and Vikings first teamers White and Albert visited Wade Deacon’s after school training session to give some helpful advice.
“It’s really good to do things like this,” White said.
“I remember when I was younger and a few players would come to the school and give you a few tips, and just have a bit of fun with you in the training session.
“It’s something that you remember for the rest of your life so hopefully we’ve done that today, and hopefully they can get the win at Wembley and we wish them all the best.”
Wade Deacon has defeated Ysgol Glantaf and Ryburn on theway to the final, before beating Bridgewater 12-8 in the semi-final.
