LAND SALE CONCERNS

SO, land belonging to the people of Halton was sold and given away by Halton Borough Council secretly.

As a ratepayer I demand to know who the free land was given to, what has happened to the £27 million.

Every penny has to be accounted for.

Does this newspaper having to obtain it through the FOI Act show something is amiss?

Has any money being given to the partnership that the Halton Borough Council signed us up to undemocratically?

Has any money being given to The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA)?

If so, this is just like the EU on a smaller scale.

We give more in than we get back out, and the people of Halton have no say.

If no money has been given to the LCRCA, then where is it?

Someone has got quite a lot of explaining to do, and it needs explaining fast. This is not going to go away. Halton Borough Council seems to be like some secret society

Sign up the borough to a partnership without the public knowledge, council officials receiving tens of thousands of pounds for their ‘contribution’ to the Mersey Gateway, when in fact that’s what they get paid for by the council.

Land given away free – who to?

Land sold for £1 – you couldn’t make it up.
