Online PE lesson plans in tie-up

-

WIDNES Vikings are proud to announce a partnership with iPEP, an online platform that enhances the planning, delivery and assessment of physical education in schools.

The partnership will allow the Vikings’ community staff to plan and assess their school sports delivery online, whilst showcasing the impact and development of each child that participates in Sky Try, Game Changer, dance and multi-sports lessons.

Widnes Vikings will be providing specific rugby league lessons for all iPEP users to support the growth of rugby league participation in primary schools. ●

iPEP users can plan a full year of the PE curriculum, with specific lesson plans that are inclusive for all pupils of all abilities.

Vikings Sports Foundation’s head of education, Liam Clark, said: “iPEP is a fantastic addition to our schools offer for next year.

“It will provide our community coaches information that will support us to meet the needs of each of our schools, whilst allowing us to provide schools with the impact that our PE lessons have had on their children.

“In addition, iPEP is giving us the opportunity to spread the word of rugby league with more schools across the country, as we are now able to access rugby league lesson plans and how-to videos.”

Craig Wainwright of iPEP added: “Together we will be providing resources for schools within the local area to plan, deliver and assess their PE sessions.

“Widnes Vikings will be writing rugby league curriculum for Key Stage 1 and key stage 2, with additional resources such as – teaching tips, progression points and how-to videos.
