Suggs, Motown and opera all on the bill

THE Brindley in Runcorn is set for another brilliant season of entertainm­ent. The multi-award winning venue features several big names for the new autumn and winter 2018 season, including one-man shows such as Suggs from Madness and Pete Waterman, who will be talking about their fascinatin­g lives and careers.

There are to be concerts from the likes Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze and the ● Motown Spectacula­r Get Ready, standup comedy from the cutting edge new acts like Andrew Lawrence to old school favourites like Jethro and comedy dramas Dirty Dusting and Desperate Scousewive­s 3.

The wide range of shows includes Puccini’s Madame Butterfly presented by Heritage Opera, North West England’s profession­al touring opera company.

Lovers of dance can look forward to the ballet Swan Lake performed by the world renowned Russian National Ballet and Tangomotio­n, a breathtaki­ng journey into the heart of Argentine Tango, featuring stunning costumes, the exquisite sounds of 1930s and 40s Buenos Aires and the powerful Nuevo Tango music of Astor Piazzolla.

There are many brilliant family shows like The Gruffalo’s Child, Milkshake Live! and Return To Neverland, not forgetting The Brindley’s fantastic annual festive pantomime Beauty & The Beast which this year features Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and Brindley favourites Andrew Curphey and Rebecca Lake from December 10 until January 13.
