Top class marks for club students

-

THE Vikings Learning Centre ended the academic year with an outstanding pass rate of 98.6%, underlining the importance of the four courses delivered.

The courses aim to provide learners who are out of education and employment with relevant qualifications to kick-start their working journey.

Learning Centre students are also given fantastic work experience opportunities, thanks to the co-operation of partner businesses, which often lead to part-time and full-time employment.

There are also opportunities to gain experience by working for the Vikings, with placements available within the two Vikings stores as well as in the club’s office or within the community coaching team.

All four courses are delivered from the Halton Stadium, giving learners the chance to take advantage of the iPitch as well as the Delivered Health Solutions Performance Centre.

Learners are given the chance to access relevant qualifications in a relaxed and informal environment, with small class sizes providing a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Head of education Liam Clark said: “I am very proud of the huge success of the Vikings Learning Centre over the last academic year.

“Our high pass rate is testament to the hard work of our tutors and the learners we have delivered to over the last 12 months.

“We’re welcoming more learners year on year, and we are hoping that can continue ahead of our next enrolment.”

The Vikings Learning Centre will be holding an open day on Thursday, August 23, from 10am2pm, at the Halton Stadium.

Simply arrive at the main reception and ask for Charlotte Jakeman, who will provide an overview of the courses and give a tour of the Learning Centre facilities.
