BREDON Respite, a service run by not-forprofit organisation Creative Support, invited the community to a ‘wellbeing day’ to fundraise for sensory equipment and resources for their service.

Trained therapists from ‘Recharge And Restore’ offered therapy taster sessions in Reiki, massage and reflexology.

The sessions proved popular and were fundamental part of the event’s success.

A family member said: “My son really enjoys staying at Bredon Respite. We always come to the events here and support the staff to fundraise for valuable equipment for all the people that they support.”

The mayor and mayoress attended the event and gave an opening speech to show their support for the service.

Bredon Respite prides itself on giving families and carers peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are in a safe and secure environment.

The support received from the community, at the event, was greatly appreciated as it means Bredon Respite can continue to deliver high quality services.

Gill Evans, service manager at Bredon Respite, said: “The fundraised money means that we are able to provide much needed equipment such as sensory items for the bedrooms and outside activities such as gardening tools and seating.”

Creative Support is a charitable organisation with more than 25 years of experience in supporting individuals with care and support needs and has over 500 services across England.
