Shadows tribute back at the Brindley

POPULAR tribute band Into The Shadows are returning to play at the Brindley Theatre on Saturday, November 3.

The band, a recreation of the sound of The Shadows, is returning to Runcorn after last year’s sell out show.

Speaking on behalf of the band, drummer Colin Evans said: “We are really looking forward to returning to play at The Brindley. It is a wonderful venue and the people of Halton were so welcoming and seemed to really enjoy the show”.

The Shadows were originally formed as the backing band for Cliff Richard but went on to have many instrument­al hits of their own.

Apache is still recognised as being on of the most iconic instrument­al tracks of all time and is still as popular today as it was when it was first released.

Into The Shadows sees the band, play all of the early Shadows hits and they will also include Cliff Richard numbers written and produced by The Shadows.

After several sell-out shows at The Brindley Studio, Merry Hell are coming to the main theatre.

Hailing from the North West, Merry Hell have risen to become festival favourites, with four albums that have impressed critics and music fans.

In just five years the band have also developed a reputation for their live performanc­es.

They have gathered a number of awards and nomination­s for best band, best live band and best album from magazines, radio shows and venues throughout the folk world.

They will be supported by singer/ songwriter and frontman of Amsterdam, Ian Prowse.
