AP P L I CATIONS have opened for this year’s Halton Business Awards.

The event, now in its 11th year, is free to enter and open to all firms based in the borough.

New awards have been created for this year and companies can enter as many categories as they wish.

This year’s Gala Dinner will take place on Friday, November 15, at the Halton Stadium in Widnes.

More than 40 businesses celebrated the launch of these awards in an event at the Everglades Park Hotel in Widnes where previous winners and sponsors shared how their firms have benefitted.

This year’s sponsor, Daresbury Sci-Tech were present, having supported the awards for several years rewarding and recognising business entrepreneurs from the area.

Robbie Hardman of Hardman Office & Commercial Cleaning explained how the awards had helped him focus and improve on providing excellent customer service to all his clients.

His efforts were rewarded last year when

he won the 2018 Customer Excellence Award.

Ace Blinds was also on hand to share its continued success and growth having last year won New Business Of The Year.

This year the award categories have been revised to create new and exciting opportunities for businesses. With awards for successful Family Businesses and Scale Up Organisations having been introduced, there are now opportunities for all firms based in Widnes and Runcorn.

For 2019, Halton Chamber Of Commerce is once again looking to build on this success and deliver a bigger and better event than ever.

Halton Chamber Of Commerce chair Val Allen said: “The Halton Business Awards are amongst the most acclaimed business events in the region.

“The number of businesses entering just keeps on rising, the range of winners widening and the quality of entries is fantastic.
