BOWEL CANCER WALK

- Bowel Cancer UK

THERE’S still time to sign up for Bowel Cancer UK’s Walk Together this September to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.

Netflix’s Sex Education star and patron of Bowel Cancer UK Connor Swindells, whose own family has been affected by the disease, is encouraging readers to host their own Walk Together to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK and help fund the charity’s vital services and lifesaving work the UK.

Their sponsored walk could be a special route in their local area taking place in September.

It’s a perfect opportunity to bring people affected by bowel cancer together to show support for those undergoing treatment, remember loved ones and raise funds to help stop people dying from the disease.

Alternatively, people can take part in a sponsored virtual walk where they can complete five miles in their own time, anytime, during the month of September.

Connor Swindells says: “Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK, but with your help we can change that.

“By hosting your own Walk Together you can support those going through treatment and everyone affected by the disease.”

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK.

Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with the disease, that’s almost 42,000 people every year.
