St Chad’s Catholic And Church Of England School

STUDENTS at St Chad’s Catholic And Church Of England High School in Runcorn have achieved an excellent set of results in their A-levels, Level 3 BTEC courses, RSL music and Level 3 CACHE course (which enables students to gain employment in Early Years Education).

The results have ensured that 92% of students wishing to progress to university or to an apprentice­ship have secured a place. Others have secured employment.

With an overall pass rate of 86 % A*-E, 11% of the grades achieved were A*/A at A level and 48% at Distinctio­n*/Distinctio­n for the BTEC and RSL music courses. Overall 81% of students achieved A*-C grades and 100% achieved a merit or above in all BTEC and RSL courses. 100% of students passed the CACHE course.

Many students performed exceptiona­lly well including:

Neve Carroll who achieved a Distinctio­n in BTEC Dance, A B B grades at A level and an A* in the Extended Project.

Ruby Thornton who achieved A* in the Extended Project and A B C grades at A level

Aleksandra Pokora who studied for 4 A-levels and achieved A A C C grades and an A in the Extended Project.

Jacob Warder and Michael Welch

● ● ● who achieved the equivalent of 3 A grades on the RSL music course.

Mr Paziuk, headteache­r, said: “We are delighted with this year’s results which reflect the hard work of all students and staff.”

“This confirms the finding from our most recent OFSTED report where inspectors said, “Preparatio­n for further education, employment and training is a clear strength of the sixth form.

“The school congratula­te all students and wish them every success for the future.”
