Wids kitted out for after match

THE players and coaching staff of Widnes RUFC now have a smart new after match look thanks to the generosity of Haydock Finance.

The company, based in Blackburn, Lancashire, have kindly agreed to sponsor the smart new polo shirts which the players will wear on a match day.

And, with the team currently going from strength to strength in the Lancashire RU County Leagues, the partnershi­p is sure to be a real winner!

Widnes born Andy Taylor attended the recent home game with West Park, where he presented the new shirts to First Team Captain Kevin Leadbetter and Club President John Loughnane.

Andy said: “We are delighted to sponsor the Wids’ new after match polo shirts.

“As a local lad myself, it is great to see them doing so well.

“The Club plays an important role in the local community and we are delighted to be part of their success.”

In response, President John Loughnane said: “We are thrilled that Haydock Finance have come on board and support us in this way.
