Kids have a wild time at opticians

-

A HALTON opticians has championed the next generation with a dedicated kid’s day – featuring face painting, science experiments, free eye tests, and the appearance of a few fourlegged friends.

Parents and children were treated to an animal handling workshop from local company, Animals Take Over – offering them the chance to meet a variety of species including a python, lizard, rabbit, and guinea pig.

The children were able to hold the animals and learn all about their natural habitat.

In addition, the children were also treated to an engaging science class with Mini Professors – a company seeking to inform and inspire youngsters and teach them new skills, offering a workshop featuring mind-boggling experiments.

The day of entertainment was held by the store to engage children and teach them about the importance of eye health, while also offering them a free eye test.

Chris Graham, director of Runcorn Specsavers, said “The day was a huge success and we’d like to thank both

Animals Take Over and Mini Professors for their engaging and fascinating workshops.

“Here at Specsavers, we’re passionate about motivating the next generation to take their eye health seriously, and we hope the kids and parents will keep up their regular check-ups so any problems are spotted and treated as soon as possible.”
