Care service’s ‘good’ rating

CARING Connection­s is a Merseyside based charity that specialise­s in delivering services that aims to reduce social isolation and improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable groups.

As an organisati­on one of its key services is the delivery of home care, specialisi­ng in supporting older people with long term conditions.

In the past two years the charity has provided over 100,000 hours of care to local residents and has provided employment opportunit­ies to over 90 local residents.

In November the organisati­on was rated ‘good’ in all areas of quality by the Care Quality Commission following a thorough inspection.

She said: “It has been a really tough two years, as an organisati­on we try to work with the most disadvanta­ged groups, however quality and financial sustainabi­lity in this sector does not often go hand in hand.

“But as a charity we have put people at the forefront of everything we do and quality is paramount above everything, so this rating really a proud moment’

Paul Growney, CEO of Caring Connection­s, said: “I am very proud of Rachael she has excelled in the role of care services manager and acts as an inspiratio­n to other care workers on excellence within the care sector.”

Alongside this the charity delivers a range of charitable projects including the Barbara Bettle Project which supports people bereaved by suicide, the Johnpaul Project which supports veterans and the Our Life, Our Place project which supports older people to engage in local heritage projects. is
