CEREBRAL palsy charity Stick ‘n’ Step is delighted to report that it has received a grant of £17,211 from the Postcode Community Trust.

The money will be used across the charity’s two centres in Wallasey and Runcorn and will contribute towards the salary costs of the classroom team, which delivers conductive education to over 100 children from across the region who have cerebral palsy.

Stick ‘n’ Step submitted its application for funding under the Postcode Community Trust’s ‘Improving Community Health and

Wellbeing’ theme, resulting in a positive outcome for the charity.

Amy Couture, chief executive for Stick ‘n’ Step, said: “We are delighted and very grateful to have received this fantastic boost to our income.

“We rely on the generosity of our supporters and the hard work of our fundraising team to raise £660,000 every year to keep our doors open and provide our services free of charge to children with cerebral palsy and their families across the North West.”

The Postcode Community Trust was established in 2014 to improve the health and wellbeing of communities across Great Britain.

Postcode Community Trust grants are made possible thanks to the funding generated from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Stick ‘n’ Step offers support services to children with cerebral palsy and their families.

The charity provides the children with totally free of charge conductive education sessions, allowing them to gain the skills they need to live independent lives.

100 children from across the region now attend these sessions weekly at the charity’s Runcorn and Wallasey centres.
