Not happy with Tories
IT’S been a very busy few weeks for Boris Johnson, which he has approached with all the sneakiness of the class bully.
If people ‘take liberties’ with social distancing rules he says this will lead to a spike in Covid-19 cases.
For taking liberties see your supervisor, Dom.
Newsflash Boris – more than 43,000 deaths is indicative of never containing the spike in the first place.
The almost £100m thrown at ‘world class’ track and trace, and excellent contact app, is looking very well spent.
“Name me a country with a working app,” he dared Keir Starmer in PM questions and quick as a flash the opposition leader replied “Germany.”
Now Boris has ordered the incorporation of the Department Of International Development into the Foreign Office despite him praising its work.
As head of the National Security Council Boris has final say on who to support with aid, providing he deigns to attend meetings.
With regard to the Robert Jenrick fiasco, in which Jenrick allowed a £1bn housing development by Tory donor Richard Desmond to be fast-tracked in order to avoid a Community Improvement tax of some £50m, he considers the matter closed.
The development is for luxury housing that only the foreign donors and Tory sycophants could actually afford. All in it together, eh Boris? After even more Eton waff-waff-waff he then ignored another Jenrick side deal in which he sat down with billionaire friend and Tory donor Idan Ofer over a proposed mining deal in Yorkshire.
The original deal by Sirius
Minerals was denied planning and funding by Jenrick’s office.
His friend Mr Ofer then bought up Sirius Minerals at a vastly reduced price via his company Anglo American Mining, leaving hundreds of small investors broke.
Thatcher would be very proud as Boris is reviving her legacy of Tory MPs lining their donors’ pockets at the expense of those in real need.
I look forward to seeing which countries receive money from the Tory aid budget – it won’t be those that need it that’s for sure.
