RUBBISH BURNED IN CUL-DE-SAC

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a midnight bonfire in a Runcorn cul-de-sac.

The incident involved rubbish set alight in the open on Liskeard Close, Brookvale, at 12.30am on Sunday, July 12. Cheshire Fire And Rescue Service said the bonfire was ‘small’.

One appliance from Runcorn attended and the crew used a hose to douse the flames. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and residents with any information about its cause are urged to call Cheshire police on 101 or provide details anonymously via www.crimestoppers.com
