MOBILE PHONE THIEF SENT DOWN

PRISON will be home for the next few weeks for a Southport thief who stole a mobile phone from a woman in Runcorn.

Steven John Miller, of Stanley Street, Southport, breached a suspended sentenced when he pinched the Sony Experia on June 2.

At North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on July 1, he was sent down for eight weeks and told to pay £350 in compensation to his victim. The theft breached a suspended sentence.
