Creamfields to host new virtual festival
CREAMFIELDS is holding a virtual festival instead of its usual Daresbury event this August Bank Holiday.
Organisers said electronic music fans might not be flocking to the village this month but the team behind one of the world’s biggest fixtures in the dance music calendar has vowed to bring the noise to living rooms with ‘Creamfields House Party 2020’ on Saturday-Sunday, August 29-30.
With a stacked line-up for the two-day virtual festival, Cream said it has raided the vault and cherrypicked some of the best sets from Creamfields over the last few years featuring performances from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Annie Mac, Armin van Buuren, Axwell & Ingrosso, Bicep (DJ Set), Camelphat, Carl Cox, deadmau5, Denis Sulta, Duke Dumont, Dusky, Faithless (DJ Set), Fatboy Slim, Fisher, Galantis, Hardwell, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones B2B Green Velvet B2B Patrick Topping, Luciano, Martin Solveig, Mistajam, MK, Nicky Romero, Nicole Moudaber, Oliver Heldens, Pan Pot, Pete Tong,
Solardo, Sven Väth, Tchami, The Blessed Madonna, Tiësto + more.
As part of the weekend broadcast Creamfields have joined forces with one of the UK’s long-established mental health charities Mind to raise awareness and cash for the service.
Kathleen Miles, Mind’s director of fundraising, said: “We are so grateful to the organisers of the prestigious Creamfields Festival for choosing to support Mind through their Virtual Weekender.
“The virtual festival will be an important platform to raise awareness of mental health problems, particularly amongst young people.
“The support from Creamfields is vital in helping us to reach those in need and letting them know that they are not alone.”
The Creamfields House Party kicks off on Saturday, August 29, from 2pm-2am and Sunday, August 30, from noon to 11pm.
