Cerebral palsy group pop up sale

-

CEREBRAL palsy charity Stick ’n’ Step will be holding a pop-up sale in Runcorn Shopping City this month with all prices £5 and under.

Bric-a-brac, toys, books and clothes, including samples from online fashion chain Boohoo will be available from the shop, open each day 9am-4pm on Friday and Saturday, August 28-29.

The pop-up shop will be in the former Pep & Co unit and sales will be cash only.

Dave Pearman, Shopping City manager, said: “It is a pleasure to be able to support such a genuine and supportive organisation as Stick ’n’ Step.

“As a parent myself I know all too well the joy and challenges that come with raising children and when you hear that one in every 400 children has cerebral palsy it really makes you stop and think of the needs of those children and their parents.

“Stick ’n’ Step provides the support, tools and belief that those with cerebral palsy can lead a happy and healthy life and miracles can happen.

“The pop-up shop event is just one way people can get involved and help a life changing organisation, which, like every other charity, is facing very uncertain times so every penny donated really does help make a huge difference.”

Kelly Marks, Stick ’n’ Step fundraiser, said: “We were scheduled to hold a popup shop earlier in the year, which had to be cancelled due to Covid-19, along with many other fundraising events we had planned.

“Supporters, families and friends have absolutely overwhelmed us with their generosity in making fabulous donations to boost our fundraising efforts now.

“As Runcorn Shopping City’s charity of the year, we are very grateful to the Centre for allowing us to hold the sale in one of their units.

“We hope many local people will be able to pop in and find a bargain.”
