Buses are back with changes
ARRIVA has relaunched some of its bus services returning its coverage close to pre-Covid levels. The travel operator said the changes came into effect from August 30.
These include:
● The 62 between Murdishaw and Hale Bank, which has been re-routed in Runcorn to operate via the 500 route.
● Service 79C has been extended from Widnes to run to Murdishaw via the 61 service route on Clifton Road, every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday and every 30 minutes on Sundays. In Liverpool, the service will operate via London Road and finish at Queen Square.
● For the 79 and 79D, all journeys now start and finish in Halewood, and the 79 runs via Hanover Street to Liverpool One in both directions.
● The 82A has been re-introduced, running between Murdishaw and Liverpool city centre via Liverpool John Lennon Airport, replacing the Halton section of the 500.
● The 14A service has been withdrawn. ● Service 79D has been re-numbered 79Q and travels via Lime Street finishing at Queen Square.
● The faster 500 airport service has been relaunched running between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Liverpool city centre, including Great Charlotte Street for Lime Street Station. It runs every 30 minutes between 4am and midnight every day.
● The 86A night bus between midnight and 4am will not be returning at present.
Social distancing and safety measures are in place on buses.
