Eleven men in court after brawl at hotel

ELEVEN men have appeared in court over a brawl at the Daresbury Park Hotel last year.

They were all charged with violent disorder in connection with what police described at the time as a “large-scale disturbanc­e” at 11.25pm on June 26, 2019.

Warrington Hospital was put on standby at the time and police initially made 12 arrests.

The 11 men charged who appeared at North Cheshire Magistrate­s’ Court last Thursday, September 10, either entered not guilty pleas or gave no indication.

They were:

Robert Patrick Reilly, 27, of Colossus Way, Bletchley, Milton Keynes. Not guilty plea.

Brian Christophe­r Stokes, 23, of Bradfield Road, Crewe. No plea entered.

Edward Stokes, 48, of Kettell Avenue, Crewe. Not guilty plea.

Edward Joseph Stokes, 19, of Kettell Avenue, Crewe. Not guilty plea.

Edward William Stokes, 26, of St Giles Street, Milton Keynes. Not guilty plea.

John Stokes, 20, of Sunnydene Close, Romford, did not attend and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

John Steven Stokes, 25, of Wistaston Road,

Nantwich. No plea entered.

Michael Joseph Stokes, 53, of Bradfield Road, Crewe. Not guilty plea.

Stephen Anthony Stokes, 23, of Parkfield Road, Northwich. Not guilty plea.

Terry Christophe­r Stokes, 33, of School

Road, Winsford. Not guilty plea.

Thomas Christophe­r Stokes, 37, of The Hide, Milton Keynes. Not guilty plea.

They are next due to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, October 8.

All 10 who attended court were given unconditio­nal bail.
