Group’s ghost train show

-

SPOOKY fun is coming to the rail network this autumn featuring the talents of a Widnes production company.

Alibi Productions has secured a contract for the third year to provide the eerie entertainment on Halloween Ghost Trains for East Lancashire Railway (ELR) and actors and crew said they delighted to have the chance again to provide family-friendly frighteners for thousands of visitors.

Passengers will be able to bask in an atmosphere of haunting horrors, frightful sights and tricks and treats when the family-friendly ghost train runs from Bolton Street Station in Bury for three days from October 28-30.

Grace Humphreys, one of the firm’s directors, said: “Coming out of lockdown it’s a real bonus for us to have the opportunity to put together a project on this scale.

“It will be up to us and our partners at ELR to provide the case, costumes, thrills and chills for everyone for everyone riding the ghost trains at Hallowe’en.” Alibi said the contract followed the welcome return of live performances, the group having recently appeared at Tributes On The Hill festival in Frodsham, and a busy schedule in the studio working with local artists on upcoming releases.

David Gorst, Alibi co-host, said: “You can definitely see there has been an upturn since restrictions began to ease.

“We’ve had more singer-songwriters back our studio facility and we’ve been asked to provide performers, music and choreography for a number of upcoming productions.”

Tickets for the East Lancashire Railways Halloween Ghost Trains are available via the events and activities section at eastlancsrailway.org.uk.
