Turner’s time in the Town defence over

-

DEFENDER Liam Turner has announced his decision to leave the club after four years.

Liam signed from Colwyn Bay in November 2017 and quickly established himself as our regular right back.

In his first season he picked up the Young Player of the Season award. On the final day of the season he scored his first goal for the club - a last minute winner in the derby against Runcorn Linnets which will be remembered for many years!

The 26-year-old proved his versatility and commitment playing in various different positions along the back four and also in midfield. He has also captained the side on many occasions. Liam has made 152 appearances in total for the club, scoring three times.

Liam said: “I have some great memories of my time here and wish the club all the best. There are some top people at the club and I hope you get back to where you belong sooner rather than later.”

With three well-established teams already within the club, Town has announced that, for the forthcoming 22-23 season, they are able to add three additional junior teams.

Starting this summer Town will have teams in the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups competing in the Warrington Junior League. Each of these teams are looking for players, so the club is are running two trial days and would like to invite everyone to come and see what we have to offer and for you to show off your ability.

The two sessions will be on Friday 17th June from 5.30 to 7.30pm and Saturday 18th June from 10.30am to 12.30pm and will be held at
