Big study backs running
The next time someone tells you running is really bad for your knees, you can simply smile sweetly and point them in the direction of a new US study involving more than 2,600 subjects, and published in the June issue of the journal Arthritis Care & Research. The researchers found there was no increased risk of osteoarthritis among runners and concluded that running was not detrimental to the knees. Take that, running naysayers everywhere!
