Anew study in the Jour­nal of be­hav­iour al medicine, sug­gests that your at­ti­tude to ex­er­cise can in­flu­ence the ben­e­fits you reap, both in terms of sub­jec­tive ex­pe­ri­ence and its ef­fect on your ner­vous sys­tem. Par­tic­i­pants with a pos­i­tive mind­set about ex­er­cise boosted their mood, low­ered their anx­i­ety and ex­pe­ri­enced greater brain­wave ac­tiv­ity than those sub­jects who were less op­ti­mistic.
