RUN AND BE THANKFUL
I was dismayed by a conversation I heard at my local Parkrun. Two men were complaining about the standard of marshalling – one was even blaming a marshal for him having missed out on a PB. Their sentiments are so out of keeping with the ethos of Parkrun. All marshals are volunteers, and without their selflessness there wouldn’t be this well-organised – and free – event to go to every week. If they volunteered themselves, they would probably find it’s harder than it looks.
