IN THE BLACK

You recently featured reflective gear for running on dark evenings (RW, Feb). I spotted a jacket I liked and decided to buy it, but came up against an old problem: the black jacket featured was for men and the women's version was…bright pink! Why do clothing manufacturers assume all women want pink, magenta, mint green etc? I know running isn’t a fashion show but as I struggle slowly, red-faced, I’d at least like to look vaguely cool!
