Beat the Boat An out-and-back 10K at Windsor and Eton, with a difference: your job is to hare along a flat, multi-terrain course and make it to the finish before one of the three boats chugging along beside you, which will be paced at 40, 50 and 60 minutes. You choose in advance which boat you’ll try to beat and your friends and family will duly pile onto that one, shout encouragement and enjoy a drink in the sun while you pound alongside, feeling superior, if sweaty.
