Bolton Hill Marathon

-

Make no mistake, when you cross the finish line of this brute you’ll know you’ve been in a race. Other competitors will be almost incidental as you focus on the challenge of overcoming some of the toughest (but most bleakly beautiful) terrain the West Pennine Moors can throw at you. Spots familiar to ramblers, such as Winter Hill, White Coppice, Anglezarke Reservoir and Rivington Pike, all feature. The total climb is 1,250m but the final three miles are downhill, so it’s not all bad… Manchester, Greater Manchester, June 10, hillrunner.org
