The Tomtom Touch

A fitness tracker with body-fat measurement

-

DAY 1 Looks a bit clunky on the wrist.

DAY 3 Had to be worn tight against the skin before it worked properly.

DAY 4 Easy to use – just one button and dual directional swipes to consider – but about 25 per cent of the time it takes a while to respond to an instruction.

DAY 7 Fat-measurement tool needs work (you place a finger on the silver button, it fires an electric signal round your body and back to the button; the speed of the current determines fat levels). It only gives a reading half the time and even then it is out (high) by around two per cent.

DAY 9 Got dunked in the sink while washing up, but no need to panic, as it’s water-resistant.

DAY 11 Syncs with the Mysports app, which gives a huge range of data, albeit presented in an uninspiring format.

DAY 13 Impressive number of functions but Tomtom needs to work on accuracy before adding bells and whistles.
