- Reigate, Surrey, July 9, hermesrunning.com

VIEW TO A HILL

‘Really enjoyed the course; even with murky weather on the day the views were great and sections in-between the hills were a mix of open trail and forest paths. Technical in places but not super-challenging.’ SIMON HILLIARD

GOOD CHEER

‘Prerace emails were full of clear instructions, website with detailed route and course profile. The course is so well marked that you’d find it hard to go wrong. All the marshals were really cheery and encouraging.’ HELSBELS44

TOUGH BUT WORTH IT

‘Excellent organisation. Wonderful homemade flapjacks and brownies. Extremely challenging hills but what a relief when you reached the top! A really special event.’ HILLSAREMYFRIENDS

HEAVY MEDAL

‘One of the hardest marathons that I’ve run, but also one of the most enjoyable. The medal was massive, the biggest one that I have ever received – and I’ve done 400 races.’ IVAN LYONS

QUAD GIVE ME STRENGTH

‘A double ascent of Box Hill takes in plenty of steps and makes for a good quad workout. Probably not the best race if this is your first trail marathon, but the rewards are worth it.’ NICK PLANT
