Time to get out the racing flats, there’s a speedy new course in town; it’s flat, wide, fast and, crucially, point-to-point, which means there’s no turnaround to slow your momentum. This seafront dash at the popular holiday resort offers both senior and junior (under 16) mile races. There are cash prizes for the fastest and a medal for every finisher – so even if you turn up and just plod the 1,600m you’ll still get some bling to add to the pile gathering dust in that shoebox under the bed.
