Good news on jobs

An extra 350 jobs are to be created across South Lanarkshire thanks to the expansion of the hugely successful South Lanarkshire Jobs Fund.

The age range of young people who can participate in the scheme has now been increased from 16 to 29 , which was previously 16 to 24.

The fund is designed to support and encourage local businesses to attract new talent and expand their workforce.

The scheme provides f i nancial support to employers for at least 26 weeks, which covers half the salary costs at the national minimum wage.
