Commonwealth Cubs

Parents and children from nurseries in Cambuslang and Rutherglen were invited to go along to the free Commonwealth Cubs sessions at Burnhill Sports Centre and Lifestyle in Eastfield.

The three- and four-year-olds and their parents took part in a variety of activities to promote fitness, fun and health in the spirit of the Commonwealth Games.

The 12 sessions were funded by Rutherglen and Cambuslang Integrated Children’s Services at South Lanarkshire Council.

Each child received a free Commonwealth Cubs t-shirt, a free family swim, with the second family swim half price and a snack.

Staff from South Lanarkshire Leisure provided activities during each session.
