Blood service set for return visit

Cambuslang residents have it in them to save a life.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusio­n Service is returning to the area, with visits planned for later this month.

They will be back at the Cambuslang Institute, Greenlees Road on Wednesday, August 27, when donations will be taken from 2pm until 3.45pm and from 5.15pm until 7.30pm.

Those who have given before and people who have never donated will be made welcome.

The SNBTS will return to the Royal Burgh when a collection team visits Rutherglen Town Hall on Tuesday, November 18.

Donations will be taken from 2pm until 3.45pm, and again from 5.15pm until 7.30pm.

Most people between the ages of 17 and 65 who weigh g more than 50kg (7st 12lbs) can give blood.
