Town hall set to stage g folk show

Two of Scotland’s most evocative singer-songwriters join forces again after 25 years and they’ll be gigging at Rutherglen Town Hall.

Bruce & Walker wi l l be playing the venue on Thursday, September 11.

The duo have recently released their 30th album CD/ DVD – Born to Rottenrow through Greentrax Recordings.

Their original songs are widely known and covered by many artists and their Scottish heritage shines through their sets from the tradition to Robert Burns.

At the gig they’ll be appearing with the Mairs Family Band, who hail from Rutherglen, Fraser Bruce, who wrote the Clyde Song, and is an ex Rutherglen Academy pupil and Moe Walker from STV’s Thingummyjig. g yjg

Ian McCalman ( of the McCalmans) declared that Bruce & Walker were “One of the best nights I’ve had in a club for years...... their songs and delivery is second to none!”

Hector Christie of The Living Tradition website wrote that the show has “not a wasted moment” in it.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £12 or £10 for concessions.
