Tom is put to the sword

Londoner Tom Hiddleston is in line to star in the lead role of MGM and Paramount’s remake of swords-and-sandals epic BenHur.

The Avengers Assemble scene-stealer (pictured, right) is Russian-Kazakh director Timur Bekmambetov’s first choice to head up the reboot, due for release in the States in February 2016.

Moving from remakes to prequels, Millenium have announced their upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre origin story will be called Leatherface, after the horror franchise’s disturbed killer.
