Sunny outlook
The poor weekend weather did not deter local Yes campaigners when they hit the streets of Cambuslang on Saturday with their positive message of hope for Scotland’s future.
And they say it was a message well received by local shoppers, and pointed to a series of national polls over last weekend.
Councillor Clare McColl who represents Cambuslang West Ward said: “While the weather in Scotland may be unsettled I think the outcome of the Referendum is much more predictable.
“Three different national opinion polls released over last weekend show the gap is closing, which on average show that Yes only needs a three per cent swing to claim victory. The polls are only confirming the feeling on the streets, that the people of Scotland are ready to embark on the journey to a much fairer, healthier and wealthier future.”
