Third gaming machine for Mill Street pub

-

A Rutherglen pub has been granted permission to install an extra gaming machine.

The Millcroft pub on Mill Street will add an extra machine to their public bar.

Belhaven, who own the pub, were granted permission at a Rutherglen and Cambuslang Licensing Board last Friday (August 22).

A representative of the company said they had experienced an increase in custom in their public bar.

Responding to a question from Councillor Robert Brown, they said some customers had complained about having to wait on the single machine during busy periods.

But they added: “This does not mean more gambling.”

The pub already has a second gaming machine which is in their lounge.

Local licensing laws allow two machines automatically, but the board decided to grant the alteration to the Millcroft’s licence for the third machine.
