You can save a life today

-

Cambuslang residents have it in them to save a life today (Wednesday).

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service is back in the area, with further visits planned before the end of the year.

They will be back at the Cambuslang Institute, Greenlees Road on August 27, when donations will be taken from 2pm until 3.45pm and from 5.15pm until 7.30pm.

Those who have given before and people who have never donated will be made welcome.

The SNBTS will return to the Royal Burgh when a collection team visits Rutherglen Town Hall on Tuesday, November 18.

Donations will be taken from 2pm until 3.45pm, and again from 5.15pm until 7.30pm.

They will be in Cambuslang again on December 17, from 2-3.45pm and 5.15-7.30pm and will also visit Croftfoot Parish Church, 318 Croftpark Avenue, on December 30, from 4-7.30pm.

Most people between the ages of 17 and 65 who weight more than 50kg (7st 12lbs) can give blood.
