LOXIE show moxie with talent show success

A South Lanarkshir­e girl group are hoping to make a name for themselves in a nationwide talent competitio­n.

LOXIE had their first appearance in April at the National Teenstar singing contest, where they sang Tina and Ike Turner’s classic River Deep Mountain High.

Since then they have gone from strength to strength.

The hard-working girls were taken on a school of music in Paisley and have since performed alongside the likes of X Factor runner-up Nicholas McDonald

The talented trio also have an important show coming up in January next year, after reaching the finals of the National Soundwave Competitio­n by beating over 300 bands aged 18 and over.

That means they’re down to the final 13 and will perform at the O2 ABC in Glasgow on January 10, where they’ll deliver a three song set at the famous Glasgow venue, where many top artists have performed.

The girls would love some local support at this final and have tickets priced at £6.50 to see the event.
