Clyde player-boss to speak at meeting

Rutherglen and Cambuslang Business Network.

The business network was formed last year, and held two successful meetings, as well as a showcase event in June.

Now, they have confirmed the first meeting of 2015 will take place on Friday, January 23, at the Burnside Hotel on East Kilbride Road.

The network is the brainchild of Gary Hosie of PTS Clean.

He said: “I have got Clyde Football Club attending, with the director Bobby Gracey and former Scotland international Barry Ferguson will be speaking about Clyde’s plans for the future as well as how they can help our local network.”

A host of local businesses have supported the network so far, including an industrial cleaning equipment supplier, football clubs, insurance brokers, hotels, radio stations, gardeners and even a magician.

Gary said: “I would strongly encourage any company, organisation or charity to spare a few hours and go along to the Burnside Hotel for the event.

“Building a local platform to get local companies in the area together to network and exchange ideas is a great idea, and to find out more about the great businesses on our door step that we probably drive past every day but don’t know about.

“Personally I see great benefits of getting involved in this network group as it’s a great chance to build up your contacts, interact with like-minded businesses, it’s also free and no registration is necessary.”

Tom Greatrex MP and James Kelly MSP have supported previous network meetings.

Tom encourged local firms to go along to the meeting and make useful contacts.

He said: “I continue to be impressed by the work that Gary and other businesses are putting in, to make sure that people network with each other, and are able to share good ideas and help build up business.

“Times have been tough, but we still have some very good local businesses and they are able to support each other.”

Gary added: “It’s an open invitation to just turn up on the day but if possible could you please e-mail gary@ptsclean. com with your full name and company name so we can get a rough idea of numbers or if you would like to know any more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.”
