Bowling club say many thanks for grant

-

I write on behalf of President Andrew Faulds, the committee and members of Whitefield Bowling and Recreation Club to thank South Lanarkshire Council for the Christmas grant used towards providing a festive meal at the clubs senior citizens party.

It is always nice to meet with friends, you may not have seen since the close of the bowling season and what better way to meet than at a party where you can enjoy a meal and blether with your friends.

The entertainment on the evening was provided by Leona Corio a young lady from Livingstone with a wonderful voice and musical programme that was greatly appreciated by all in attendance.

The catering was provided by Hefferland Catering and judging by the empty plates and satisfied smiles of all in attendance the meal certainly hit the mark.

The success of our party evening, as stated earlier, is only possible through the grant provided for the senior citizens festive meal by South Lanarkshire Council and for this can I express my sincere thanks. Douglas J Knape Club Secretary I am hoping that Santa could bring me an Xbox.
