Port Glasgow ........ 0 Cambuslang R ...... 5 Cambuslang Rangers were five alive on Saturday after a convincing win over Port Glasgow.

Both teams started with high intensity and in windy conditions ,managed to get the ball on the ground and play good football.

The breakthrough came on the 13th minute as Willie Easton calmy controlled the ball before taking on the defender. The goalkeeper had already committed and Easton did well to go round him and tap in

Four minutes later the Lang doubled their lead as Paddy Cullen took his shot perfectly, outwitting the goalkeeper and slotting it into the right side of the goal.

The confidence was now flowing through the team , against a team fancied to be up with a chance of promotion.

On 38 minute mark, the Lang got a free kick on the right after McKerrell was fouled. Cullen stood up along with Paul Burns and the striker who lashed the ball looping over the wall and the keeper into the net, a wonderful strike for the forward who had been struggling for goals in previous games.

Just before half-time, it was game over as the visitors scored a fourth. Talented young striker
