Pupilsp wow the audience with their portrayalp of the Nativity
St Anthony’s Primary pupils wowed their audience with an excellent portrayal of the nativity.
The children of primaries one and two of the Rutherglen school performed a beautiful enactment of the Nativity story.
They performed not just in school and St Anthony’s Church, but also in Greenlees Nursing Home, much to the delight of residents.
Primary two thrilled their audiences with their lovely singing and clear narration whilst primary one touched all hearts playing the principal roles. The sheep raised a chuckle with their lively dancing and antics whereas Mary, Joseph and the Angels brought a lump to the throat with their prayerful reverence.
A school spokeswoman said: “Many of the Greenlees residents have looked forward to the performance for weeks as it brings back memories of their own childhood. Parents and visitors to the school claimed it was the best Nativity play they had seen and expressed that they now felt ready to celebrate Christmas in its true spirit.”
