Burnside Blairbeth Church has a number of services lined up for Christmas.

The Christmas Eve service at 7pm , an all age crib service, will take place at theBurnsid­e building, and at 8pm, a traditiona­l carol service will be held at the Rodger Memorial Building, Blairbeth. At 11.30pm there will be a watch night service in the Burnside building. On Christmas Day is the 10.30am family service, also at the Burnside building.

Stonelaw Parish Church is all set for Christmas.

On Christmas Eve at 7pm is the Pyjama Service where parents are urged to bring the kids to a short fun-filled service. Pyjamas and Christingl­es are optional.

Then, at 11.30pm, there will be the Watchnight Service where the congregati­on can mark the arrival of Christmas with us in a traditiona­l service.

On December 25 at 11am, the Christmas Day service will take place.

Fernhill and Cathkin’s Christmas Eve service will take place in the church 9.00pm and Christmas Day service in the small hall at 10.30am.

The children’s nativity service is on December 21 in the church at 11.15am.

Rutherglen United Reformed Church, at 69 Johnstone Drive, have confirmed their Christmas services.

On Wednesday, December 24, the will hold a twilight service at 6.30pm. The theme for this all-age service is Inn - The Story. The service will begin in the‘Inn’(church hall) before they then move to the ‘stable’as they reflect on the meaning of Christ’s birth. Refreshmen­ts in the hall following the service.

On Wednesday they also hold a watch night service at 11.30pm. The theme this year is A Golden Moment, as they focus on one of the three gifts given to the baby Jesus by the wise men. Refreshmen­ts in the hall following the service.

On December 25, they have the Christmas Day service at 10.30am. The congregati­on will gather around the stable and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

King’s Park Church is preparing for Christmas.

On Sunday at 11am the Christmas family service takes place with the nativity story being performed by the younger children. At night the evening worship is at 6.30pm with carols round the Christmas tree.

On Christmas Eve, there will be two services – at 6.30pm families can enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallo­ws followed by the usual fun-filled family service at 7pm. And then later on, to see in Christmas Day, there will be a Watchnight service beginning at 11.15pm, with hot chocolate and marshmallo­ws served beforehand from 10.45pm. On Christmas Day, everyone is invited to Jesus’birthday service at 10am. Children can bring their Christmas gifts and toys.

A Watchnight Service will be held in Rutherglen Old Parish Church on Christmas Eve at 11.30pm, accompanie­d by the Salvation Army Band.

Everyone will be made most welcome, and tea/coffee will be available from 11pm.

The Salvation Army will hold a carol service this Sunday, December 21.

It will take place at 3.30pm in the Salvation Army hall on

King Street.

St Cuthbert’s Cambuslang are holding Christmas services with their joint charges, with a service at 11.30pm on Christmas Eve in St Andrew’s in Uddingston.

There will also be a 10.30am Christmas morning service in St Cuthbert’s, on the corner of Brownside Road and Greenlees Road.

At Cambuslang Baptist Church there will be a family-style service on Christmas Day at 10.30am, everyone welcome.

Croftfoot Parish will hold its Christmas Eve service at 11.15pm, and Christmas Day service at 10.30am.
