Burn­side Blair­beth Church has a num­ber of ser­vices lined up for Christ­mas.

The Christ­mas Eve ser­vice at 7pm , an all age crib ser­vice, will take place at theBurn­side build­ing, and at 8pm, a tra­di­tional carol ser­vice will be held at the Rodger Memo­rial Build­ing, Blair­beth. At 11.30pm there will be a watch night ser­vice in the Burn­side build­ing. On Christ­mas Day is the 10.30am fam­ily ser­vice, also at the Burn­side build­ing.

Stonelaw Parish Church is all set for Christ­mas.

On Christ­mas Eve at 7pm is the Py­jama Ser­vice where par­ents are urged to bring the kids to a short fun-filled ser­vice. Py­ja­mas and Christ­in­gles are op­tional.

Then, at 11.30pm, there will be the Watch­night Ser­vice where the con­gre­ga­tion can mark the ar­rival of Christ­mas with us in a tra­di­tional ser­vice.

On De­cem­ber 25 at 11am, the Christ­mas Day ser­vice will take place.

Fern­hill and Cathkin’s Christ­mas Eve ser­vice will take place in the church 9.00pm and Christ­mas Day ser­vice in the small hall at 10.30am.

The chil­dren’s na­tiv­ity ser­vice is on De­cem­ber 21 in the church at 11.15am.

Ruther­glen United Re­formed Church, at 69 Johnstone Drive, have con­firmed their Christ­mas ser­vices.

On Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 24, the will hold a twi­light ser­vice at 6.30pm. The theme for this all-age ser­vice is Inn - The Story. The ser­vice will be­gin in the‘Inn’(church hall) be­fore they then move to the ‘sta­ble’as they re­flect on the mean­ing of Christ’s birth. Re­fresh­ments in the hall fol­low­ing the ser­vice.

On Wed­nes­day they also hold a watch night ser­vice at 11.30pm. The theme this year is A Golden Mo­ment, as they fo­cus on one of the three gifts given to the baby Je­sus by the wise men. Re­fresh­ments in the hall fol­low­ing the ser­vice.

On De­cem­ber 25, they have the Christ­mas Day ser­vice at 10.30am. The con­gre­ga­tion will gather around the sta­ble and cel­e­brate the birth of Je­sus.

King’s Park Church is pre­par­ing for Christ­mas.

On Sun­day at 11am the Christ­mas fam­ily ser­vice takes place with the na­tiv­ity story be­ing per­formed by the younger chil­dren. At night the evening wor­ship is at 6.30pm with car­ols round the Christ­mas tree.

On Christ­mas Eve, there will be two ser­vices – at 6.30pm fam­i­lies can en­joy hot choco­late and marsh­mal­lows fol­lowed by the usual fun-filled fam­ily ser­vice at 7pm. And then later on, to see in Christ­mas Day, there will be a Watch­night ser­vice be­gin­ning at 11.15pm, with hot choco­late and marsh­mal­lows served be­fore­hand from 10.45pm. On Christ­mas Day, ev­ery­one is in­vited to Je­sus’birth­day ser­vice at 10am. Chil­dren can bring their Christ­mas gifts and toys.

A Watch­night Ser­vice will be held in Ruther­glen Old Parish Church on Christ­mas Eve at 11.30pm, ac­com­pa­nied by the Sal­va­tion Army Band.

Ev­ery­one will be made most wel­come, and tea/cof­fee will be avail­able from 11pm.

The Sal­va­tion Army will hold a carol ser­vice this Sun­day, De­cem­ber 21.

It will take place at 3.30pm in the Sal­va­tion Army hall on

King Street.

St Cuth­bert’s Cam­bus­lang are hold­ing Christ­mas ser­vices with their joint charges, with a ser­vice at 11.30pm on Christ­mas Eve in St An­drew’s in Ud­dingston.

There will also be a 10.30am Christ­mas morn­ing ser­vice in St Cuth­bert’s, on the cor­ner of Brown­side Road and Greenlees Road.

At Cam­bus­lang Bap­tist Church there will be a fam­ily-style ser­vice on Christ­mas Day at 10.30am, ev­ery­one wel­come.

Croft­foot Parish will hold its Christ­mas Eve ser­vice at 11.15pm, and Christ­mas Day ser­vice at 10.30am.
